Kaginushi Industry Co., Ltd. specializes in portable shichirin grills made of diatomaceous earth and charcoal. Founded in 1932 as a brick manufacturer, the company has been producing portable grills in Suzu City on the Noto Peninsula, the oldest and largest site for diatomaceous earth shichirin grills. Kaginushi uses 100% diatomaceous earth harvested from the peninsula, a material highly valued for its excellent heat insulation properties for shichirin production.
